Our Story
Since its founding in 1949, the Santa Maria Elementary Education Association (SMEEA) has tirelessly served the professional interests of educators within the Santa Maria-Bonita School District. As a dedicated local chapter of the California Teachers Association (CTA) and the National Education Association (NEA), SMEEA champions superior working conditions for its members and high standards for public schools throughout the Santa Maria Valley.
